MEET THE BENEFICIARY: Women’s Resource Center of Greensboro

WRC 20yr logoThe Greensboro Arm Wrestling League is proud to be raising money on behalf of the Women’s Resource Center of Greensboro for our second GRAWL Brawl, on July 16 at Geeksboro.

The WRC was founded two decades ago as a place where women could seek information, advice, support and assistance. It’s a nonprofit that is dedicated to helping women who are at a time of transition in their lives – whether that be going through a family crisis, a change in careers or another major life event.

The WRC’s mission is to promote the self-reliance of women. To accomplish this goal, the WRC offers programs like the Legal Assistance Network, which provides free legal workshops and an attorney hotline, and Women to Work, which helps with job preparedness through things like resume writing assistance and mentoring.

For more information about the WRC, visit its website, www.womenscentergso.org.

All the proceeds from GRAWLbux and ticket sales for the July 16 brawl will go to fund WRC programs. If you cannot attend the July event, you can still make a donation online at one of the GRAWL wrestlersfundraising pages.
